Causes and Diagnoses of Glioblastoma

The exact cause of glioblastomas is not known. Glioblastomas are more commonly found in the following groups:

  • Males
  • People over the age of 50
  • People of Caucasian or Asian ethnicity

Glioblastomas are sometimes found during a CT scan or MRI done for a different reason. To diagnose glioblastoma, a neuropathologist must do so during surgery.
