Overview

The Vein Center at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is staffed with board-certified interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons who collaborate to provide the highest quality vein care. Though other doctors may perform these procedures, our team of experts is specially trained in using sophisticated imaging technology to guide treatment and surgical techniques to provide quality care with excellent results.

Affiliated with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, the Vein Center at Lake Forest Hospital is staffed by interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons who all hold academic appointments through Northwestern University. These physicians are dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine that incorporates the latest scientific evidence, knowledge and clinical expertise into the care of patients with vein issues.

Parking and Transportation

The hospital Main Entrance is located at 1000 North Westmoreland Road. Both valet and self-parking options are available in Parking Lots 1 and 2.

Patients of the Cancer Center can use the hospital’s dedicated North Entrance and Parking Lot 1.

The Emergency Department and Maternity Services are located inside the hospital’s South Entrance. A circle drive can be used for patient drop-off, while close self-parking is available in Lot 3.

Patient parking for the Bays and McGaw medical office buildings is located just east of the McGaw Medical Building. Patients and visitors can also park in a new lot adjacent to the 700 building.

As always, patients and visitors to the medical office buildings are encouraged to take advantage of our complimentary valet service, located at the main hospital and the main entrances of the Bays (900) and the McGaw (800) Medical Buildings.

Valet Parking is complimentary and available during the following hours:

  • 900 Building Entrance 7:30 am–5:00 pm
  • 800 Building Entrance 7:30 am–5:00 pm
  • Hospital Main Entrance 5:30 am–5:00 pm

Services

Our team of experts provides evaluation and treatment for a variety of vein related complaints. These include: varicose veins, spider veins, vein related leg pain, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), vein related pelvic discomfort (pelvic congestion syndrome) and vascular malformations. Our imaging expertise allows us to treat most patients without surgery, using minimally invasive techniques such as endovenous laser vein ablationmicrophlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.
