Visit Options

Immediate Care Center Visits

Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Centers offer both in-person and virtual visits. For in-person visits, you do not need to let us know you are on your way, but we suggest it.

Virtual Visits

For some conditions, you do not need to come to an Immediate Care Center in person. A virtual visit lets you talk with an Immediate Care physician or advanced practice provider by phone or video. Immediate Care virtual visits may even be available before and after regular Immediate Care Center hours. A virtual visit might be right for you if you need care for any of the following:

  • Allergies
  • Cold and cough symptoms
  • Flu or COVID-19 symptoms
  • Sinus pain
  • Sore throat
  • Minor injuries (with pain lasting less than one week)
  • Diarrhea
  • Pink eye
  • Urinary symptoms* (no vaginal or gynecological complaints)
  • Rash, bite or sting

*We may ask patients with urinary symptoms to switch to an in-person visit.

Patients must be age 5 or older for a virtual visit. For older children, depending on their condition, the physician or advanced practice provider may recommend you switch to an in-person visit.

In-Person Visits

In some locations, you may be able to pick a time to arrive for an Immediate Care Center. We encourage you to reserve a time if one is offered. Otherwise, you can walk-in for care. Find your nearest location and see estimated wait times.

Parking

On-site parking is available for patients and visitors.
