Overview

Our team of board-certified radiation oncologists is here for you at every step of your cancer journey. Our goal is to put patients first in all that we do. We offer expertise and innovative technology tailored to your needs.

The Northwestern Medicine Proton Center is the first proton therapy center in Illinois. Since the center opened in 2010, we have treated thousands of patients from the Chicago area, across the country and around the world.

Proton therapy is an advanced form of radiation therapy. It’s a precision treatment that disrupts and destroys tumor cells with less radiation to healthy tissue and fewer side effects than traditional radiation.
