5.0 star star star star starVery much like my long-time doctor Witzel. Joined NW when he changed over from Advocate. He listens, is thoughtful, asks good questions, is up on latest medical, etc. And always pleasant and courteous.

5.0 star star star star starI have seen Dr. Witzel for 25+ years. I followed him to NW from Advocate. I wish he did not change to NW. The Advocate location is closing the my home, 1/2 the distance and the office accepts calls. My past blood draws were faster.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Steven Witzel is the Best ! He is kind, knowledgeable, thorough, considerate, patient, & spends ample time with me as necessary to discuss my health issues. Not a 10 minute revolving door appointment ! I’m 68 yrs old and never had a Dr. I felt really cared about me …… until Dr. Witzel. Because nothing or nobody is perfect I give Dr. Witzel a 9.5. Highly recommend him. ðŸ‘😃

5.0 star star star star starThis is one of the best doctor’s that I’ve ever had. I came to Northwestern healthcare's because of how he treated me as a patient when he worked for your competitor. He takes the time to listen and engage with the patient. He asks questions and gives relatable advice. His attentiveness makes you feel like he does know you and cares.

5.0 star star star star starHe has a great bedside manner and a wonderful personality. He asked a lot of questions and listened to my answers. I, in turn, asked several questions to which he provided what I needed to know. He is a great listener and was able to make wonderful recommendations for me and provide different care options for my needs.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very knowledgeable, and LISTENS. He really hears you, and makes the patient comfortable. Dr. Witzel doesn't just foist advice and treatments at you - he explains them, and answers my questions. He educates and informs me - that is something very important to me - makes the patient better able to comply and participate in their own healthcare.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
