5.0 star star star star starShe has been willing to answer any of my questions and explained many things that have not been previously explained. She is very understanding that because I come from Indiana and have doctors there, communication between them is very important!

5.0 star star star star starMs. Durkin was very thorough during my office visit. She explained everything in simple language that was quite understandable about my condition. She also made sure I was clear about follow up appointments and why they were needed. I left out feeling less anxious than I was when I arrived. She was also very professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. She made sure I had all of my follow up appointments scheduled and appropriate medications.

5.0 star star star star starAlthough our start wasn’t the best because she had me do something I had just done 45 days earlier. She gave me an explanation for why and I then understood her reasoning. She was very patient and explained things no one had previously explained. She answered every question I had with very informative information. She made some suggestions that I could take back to my physician on Indiana which I feel is very important. All physicians I deal with have to work together for me to live to the best of my ability. I have another appointment with her in April and look forward to continue learning what ideas she has to keep me living the best life I can!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
