5.0 star star star star starWas nice that the doctor was able to meet with me over the phone and diagnose what I had going on and then explained to me how she was going to treat it and made sure that I understood it all in all a very good experience

5.0 star star star star starI have been in to see her twice for depression and she made me feel like she cared about me, knew what I needed, I never felt judged, she was very compassionate and down to earth, and I’ve never had a Dr that I felt treated a patient that way. She is amazing. Northwestern needs more Drs like her.

5.0 star star star star starDespite her busy schedule she was able to squeeze me in for an emergency consultation. I was having a bad skin reaction and she was very helpful and did her best to make sure I got the treatment I needed.

5.0 star star star star starShelly has been our PCP for years now..our grown son goes to her, as well for care, as well. When my husband had abdominal pain 6 years ago, we were referred to Shelly..after some tests, that same day, Shelly called us at 10pm that very night to tell us that they found a mass in his colon He went in for surgery at at 9am the next morning..What was a terrifing situation for us was so much easier, as we felt Shelly really put the "machinery"" in motion so quickly, that we just did as we were told, and fortunately it all turned out well.. We really appreciate her, and she is so easy to talk to. Kudos to Shelly!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
