5.0 star star star star starI feel he is very knowledgeable which makes me trust him. He took as much time needed for pre op putting my son at ease, I felt like he truly cares and feel safe and confident for him to operate on my son.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Abbass is a very kind and compassionate surgeon who listens well and shows a deep concern for his patients. He explains things in a way that can be easily understood and makes sure that all of your questions are answered. He brought me through an extensive and difficult colon surgery for which I will always be grateful. He is simply “top-notch!â€

5.0 star star star star starDr. Abbass is an outstanding doctor with great bedside manner. He spends ample time with patients to ensure our understanding. He explains procedures, risks, and potential side effects thoroughly, which is very comforting. I’m impressed that he knows who I am personally, is familiar with my case, and doesn’t treat me like I’m just another patient.

5.0 star star star star starHe is a skilled physician (my good results reflect on that), he listens, answers questions thoughtfully, takes time to understand what the patients concerns are, and explains things very well. Good bedside manner, but most importantly, excellent doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
