5.0 star star star star starDr. Saltzman is fabulous. He's super smart, explains everything, asks if I have questions, and overall just makes me confident that everything's under control and going to be done correctly. I've never worked at a hospital and I'm not a doctor (or surgeon), but I'm pretty sure he's got a billion responsibilities, and yet there's no rushing. He fixed my shoulder and now we're half way through PT, and every step of this process has been successful.

5.0 star star star star starDr Saltzman has a pleasant demeanor and is easy to converse with. He shows concern in replying to any questions I may need answered. Also has assured me he will be available during the duration of my healing and therapy.

5.0 star star star star starHave to go back... I first met him just for like, a shoulder check up. We agreed to try physical therapy first, and I got a cortisone shot. After a couple months it was not responding. I had an MRI. He explained everything going on in the results and discussed what could be next steps. We agreed to surgery. He was very clear, friendly and projected confidence throughout the process. Then I had the surgery. That day was as good as can be expected. Everyone on the team was amazing. Seriously, I felt so calm and taken care of. I woke up, Dr. Saltzman told us all about how it went (great), what to expect, and what to do next. All told, it was a great experience and I'm not on my way to having a strong, pain-free shoulder.

5.0 star star star star starPlease see above. He was fabulous. Everything was clear. He’s a great communicator. Calm. We had a number of meetings. I went into with no real questions. Surgery went great. And he “re-capped” afterwards, and gave me a printout of what to do/what comes next. All said, kinda perfect.

5.0 star star star star starDr Saltzman is professional, caring and explains surgery in an understandable manner. He also listens attentively to your concerns. His calm demeanor is also an asset when I had concerns in the outcome of the surgery. Definitely an asset to Northwestern Orthopedic Staff.

5.0 star star star star starHe spent probably just 2-3 minutes with me but was given a diagnosis and treatment plan. Pretty straightforward. He’s quick and to the point. Very nice and feel like I’m in good hands.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
