5.0 star star star star starDr. Bernstein provided a thorough but concise explanation of his findings from review of my CT scans. I also appreciate that he is Board Certified in Neurology in addition to completing his medical training at Mt Sinai Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Furthermore, I saw that he was rated as one of the top neurologists in the Chicago Metro area in Chicago Magazine in January, 2024.

5.0 star star star star starI felt very comfortable discussing my Issues with him. Even though my scans were done at another hospital ( not in the Northwestern system, he was able to access these records to help in discussing my situation.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bernstein answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained the results from my scans. He came prepared into the exam room with a page full of notes to go over with me. He was also very personable and easy to talk to.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bernstein has been very open with us. After our TeleHealth visit on one day (not so positive in results/ideas), he called us back the morning of the next because he had been reviewing his previous notes and suggested less invasive possibilities, dropping one medication & offering another possibility. We appreciate his careful attention to my husband's unique/puzzling stroke issues and continue to hold onto hope.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
