1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderPatricia's way of answering questions was condescending, lacking empathy, and frankly somewhat rude. My two previous classes with Holly were so informative and encouraging. She answered questions over and over no matter how repetitive they were to the content on the screen. Patricia was dismissive, unpleasant, and made me feel stupid for having a question in the first place. I'm truly very disappointed that my experience through this process has hit this bump. It's extremely important for me to be able to speak openly with providers and ensure that my doubts and questions are cleared up so that I can take that information and apply it to my day to day. Patricia did not provide that in this class at all.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI just did not feel al though I got anything from the almost 45 minute chat. Three questions in she asked me to confirm my name and DOB again which was one of the first things I gave when we began talking. She shared a screen which I could barely see I let her know that I would probably be able to better view it once emailed but I just felt like it was a lot of repetitive back and forth and I waited a very long time for this appointment and I got no value out of it.

5.0 star star star star starPatricia has always been really nice and encouraging, but this visit took it over the top. She listens, she is not dismissive, she is supportive and realistic. I am always encouraged when I finish her classes-- I think this is my third one with her. I did two pre-op and two post-op. Patricia reminds me of the amazing staff I encountered during my surgical stay. She is an actual gem.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI wish I were not required to provide a score, as part of the problem is that I should have waited to see someone that specializes in helping someone with Barrett's. That is not Ms. Araujo's fault. Further, the information provided was not geared toward people with obesity. In my experience, very few people who are obese have no idea what they should be eating. As to Ms. Araujo, she was nice and sensitive, but is not the best listener.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
