What to Bring

The following is a list of recommended items to bring with you to the hospital on delivery day.

• Photo ID
• Medical insurance or Medicaid card
• Contact lens case labeled with your name (if you wear them)
• Copy of advance directives/durable power of attorney forms, if applicable
• Toiletries and other personal items, including comfortable clothes, a nursing bra and a weather-appropriate outfit for the baby to go home in

Please leave all valuables (jewelry, money, credit cards) at home, or give them to your support person. Jewelry (including body piercing and tongue studs) cannot be worn during surgery. Please limit the number of items you bring with you to lessen the chance of losing them when you transfer between rooms.
