Cryotherapy
Extreme cold can be used to treat some ocular (eye) conditions. Freezing temperatures can shrink blood vessels that are growing abnormally on the retina or in the vitreous in patients who have diabetic retinopathy. This treatment is also occasionally used for melanoma of the eye.
