Transbronchial Needle Aspiration
Your physician may use transbronchial needle aspiration to take a biopsy, using a small needle inserted through the bronchoscope during an endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
The needle method is a less invasive and more accurate way to stage cancer without requiring surgery and anesthesia.
