Meet the Downtown Chicago Orthopaedic Trauma Team
The Trauma Program at the Northwestern Medicine Center for Orthopaedic and Spine Care (CCOSC) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital provides specialized treatment for fractures and trauma to bones, joints, and nerves in the hands, feet, arms, legs, pelvis, and spine.
Most orthopaedic trauma is caused by high-velocity impacts, such as car accidents, falls, or gunshot wounds. But severe osteoporosis and bone cancer can weaken the bones to the point where they cannot sustain normal pressure. The Trauma Program team provides treatment to help patients heal fractured bones and restore alignment and function.
