Symptoms of an Intestinal Obstruction

Symptoms of an intestinal obstruction will vary, depending on the location and severity of the obstruction. Symptoms may include:

  • Abdominal cramping or intermittent pain
  • Bloating
  • Appetite loss
  • Constipation
  • Vomiting
  • Inability to pass gas
  • Fever
  • Dehydration

Symptoms of pseudo-obstruction are the same, but may also include diarrhea and, over time, malnutrition and weight loss.
